Oksana Nikiforova is a Professor at Riga Technical University, Latvia, where she teaches courses in Software Engineering and System Analysis. Her research focuses on model-driven software engineering, model transformations, cybersecurity, and the application of AI in software development. She is the author of over 120 scientific publications and co-author of the book “Multi-Paradigm Modelling Approaches for Cyber-Physical Systems” (Elsevier, 2020). Prof. Nikiforova has supervised over 300 Bachelor, Master, and PhD theses, and has led or participated in more than 50 research and industry projects. She serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal Applied Computer Systems and co-chairs several international conferences, including ICSOFT, FedCSIS, and Information Technology and Management Science (ITMS). In 2024, a project led by Prof. Ņikiforova on the development of a security incident identification solution received the Annual Innovation Award from the Latvian Security and Defence Industry Federation, in the category “Innovation of the Year.”
